Your Partner in Taking Care of Our Lakes

My love and passion started when I was in college and then shortly after graduating. We spent many weekends at “Cocktail Cove” and spent a ton of time hanging with friends, wake boarding, knee boarding or tubing and always ended the day with a great sunset. But my connection grew when I meet my husband and we bought our first weekend 1,200 square foot lake house and first boat! We loved Lake Lanier so much and spent every off moment we could on or near the lake. After one summer parttime we decided to sell our full-time home and move to the lake permanently.

There truly is nothing quite like being near the water for us. It’s our therapy and our passion and we had our kids on the boat before they were out of car seats and on tubes by the time they were 2 years old.

My husband who has been a realtor for 18+ years has spent most of his real estate career focused on Lake Lanier and has helped many families and individuals gain their dream of living on the lake. And his next task was to find us a home that could support our growing family that is when we moved to our current lake home.

Because of my love of Lake Lanier I always wanted something like a hat or tshirt but simply couldn’t find anything that represented my lake. But then I got excited one day as I found a vendor on the lake and went to go buy something and found that they had no hats, no ladies’ options and I walked away buying 3 shirts all of which none where for myself. So I was super frustrated. But walked away and didn’t give it more thought because come Monday I had to go back to my day job!

Another couple of years passed and then 2020 hit. My company went through a commercial shut down, COVID hit at the same time and their was a lot of uncertainty in the world. My husband and our family are one of faith and we believe God would get us through anything. We also were blessed when the shutdown occurred that we had the lake and our boat to escape. We would take our kids out every minute we could. I would sit on the back of the boat, my husband would drive with our 2 kids sitting up front letting the wind hit them in the face. I could hear their laughs and feel their joy, I could turn and see my husband genuinely enjoy taking his family out on the water and his own personal peace and then I turned back to look at my lake! Overcome with my own joy, peace and serenity and I said to myself “God thank you, I LOVE MY LAKE”! And it hit me like a ton of bricks. I started screaming to my husband LOVE MY LAKE, that’s it LOVE MY LAKE! And hence lovemylake.us was born! Join me in representing the Lake you LOVE!
